The three costs, separated
Quotes usually blend these, which makes comparison hard. Separating them tells you where you are actually spending.
- Terminal — one-time. Fingerprint units cost less than face units; both are commodity-priced across Indian dealers.
- Installation — one-time. Mounting, power and network. Best done by a local dealer who can return if something fails.
- Software — recurring. This is where the range is widest and where the real decision sits.
- Often overlooked: the cost of re-enrolling everyone when a device is replaced and templates were only stored on it.
